Tesla has invested $5 billion (about 34.3 billion yuan) in a super factory that is expected to exceed 10 million square feet (about 930,000 square meters) and start producing lithium-ion batteries on January 4. Sandova said that the super factory has more than 1,000 full-time employees and more than 2,000 construction workers.
